Our Ingredients and Process

You should know what's in the products you use and how they're made. This page walks you through our small batch process, step by step, the way it actually happens.

Ingredient selection

How I choose herbal ingredients

I buy in small amounts so everything stays fresh, and I only use ingredients I’d be happy to use myself.

Grown or gathered in Alaska:

Some of the plants in our formulas come from right here.

Bought from suppliers:

Oils, waxes and herbs that don't grow in Alaska come from trusted suppliers.

How each product is made

From raw ingredient to finished product

Salves

Dried herbs are infused in oil, strained, melted together with wax, poured, cooled and labeled.

Tinctures

Herbs are covered in a liquid base, left to steep for weeks, then strained, bottled and labeled.

Shampoo bars

Goat milk and oils are blended, poured into molds and left to cure before they're wrapped.

Lip balms

Oils and wax are melted together, poured into tubes and left to set.

Handling and consistency

Keeping every batch consistent

Every batch is made the same careful way. Tools and work surfaces are cleaned before each batch, and each product is checked before it's labeled and packed.

Packaging and labeling

What you'll find on the label

Every label shows the product name, full ingredients, net contents and how to use it. Our packaging is chosen to protect the product on its way to you.

Where it's made, honestly

Everything is made by hand in Alaska. Our products are made in a home with cats, so if you have a cat allergy, please keep this in mind before you order.
