Herbal Salves

A salve is a thick, spreadable balm made by infusing herbs into oil and setting it with wax. Each handmade salve is built around one main herb or blend, made in small batches and poured by hand.

Choosing a salve

How our salves differ

All our salves share the same simple base. What changes is the herb, the scent and the size.

  • The main herb: Each salve is named after its key plant. The full list is on every product page.
  • Texture: Our salves are firm in the tin and soften with the warmth of your hand.
  • Size: Smaller tins travel well; larger jars suit regular use at home.

Ingredients and process

Herbal salve ingredients: what goes into the jar

We slowly infuse herbs into oil, strain it, then add wax to set it. Several of our salves start with plants that grow here, which makes each one a true Alaska herbal salve. Every product page shows exactly what’s inside.

Use and care

Using and storing your salve

Follow the directions on your product’s label. Keep the lid tight and store it somewhere cool and out of direct sun. Salves can soften in heat; that’s normal.

Allergy note: Our products are made in a home with cats. If you have a cat allergy, please keep this in mind before you order.
